Happy May Day!

Today I laid in the sun with roommates, neighbors, and a puppy named Zoe. We shared fruit and smoked sheesha. I got sunburned. In the afternoon, we went to the Ballard Locks to catch more sun and watch boats pass through Lake Union.

Sunshine in Seattle is not to be missed. My friend Spiro noted how it was a good thing we renewed our lease after the summer, otherwise I might not renew mine. I think she's right--the rainy months wear on me. But today, in the bright green of it all, I felt thankful and happy to call Seattle home.
